Today I heard of another wonderful resource for homeschooled high school students. Stanford University has launched a series of 10 free, online computer science and electrical engineering courses. The courses include an introduction to computer science and an introduction to artificial intelligence and robotics, among other topics. These are basically the same cources that are taught at Stanford for credit. (Minus the college credit and materials that would infringe on copyrights.)
Tyler and I looked at the first computer science course. There are 28 lectures (Each about 45 mins. long) You can watch the video’s in several ways (Itunes, youtube, etc.) It looks great. I imagine the other courses are similar.
